So, this southern romantic man calmly states, “If I see one more damn luvie luvie kiss kiss commercial, I’m gonna scream!” Yeah, I’m glad happy couples get to share VDay next week, but the marketing pukes are just rubbing it in my face. (mkay, just an ounce of kidding there.)
I have no prospects and I’m [...]

I use kidless weekends to catch up on shows. I’ve heard the Knights of Prosperity was pretty good and they are all on ABC.com, so I caught one. Ended up watching the entire season in one evening. Little things like the Indian guy singing ‘Cat’s In The Cradle’ in Hindi, the 300 lb black guy’s [...]

Not wanting to offend, but this is about me after all and nobody paid admission. *grin*
I went shopping last night since I had no kids. I like shopping at night. I was in a good mood, rockstar parking up front and weather was great! I push my cart through the door and, well my [...]

First of all, my condolances to IG. I thought the Bearsss were going to run away with that one, but it was not meant to be. Actually had a blast with the game. X asked me to keep the kids an extra night so she could go to a SBparty, so I took [...]

Dang, has it already been 5 days since my last post? Things have been pretty boring. No Marine threatening my life. No great sex stories. Kids have been with X since last Friday. Jeez, I’m boring.
Teacher work day yesterday and I got to attend a mini-conference on internet safety. The out-of-state speaker [...]

It makes perfect sense to me this morning that yoyos were/are made by a company called Whammo. My head is used to the yoyo action of the last year and is starting to feel Whammo’ed again. I know that I have to go slowly. I know that I can’t step up to the [...]

*Sigh* Another blog closed. That is the nature of this beast. Spare moments, moments of pain, time spent in need of interaction, all this feeds a community of writers. I’ve seen people quit blogging because a history rears and forces an end. I’ve seen blogging consume people until it’s death is their [...]

Housesitting in the country has been good. Kids have enjoyed the huge TV, I’ve enjoyed the quiet of the country, niece and new Nephew-in-law came, and I had a very enjoyable experience with a visitor.
But, the thing that keeps coming back to me is this old book on the back of the downstairs toliet. [...]

1. Hate’n blogger. Never remembers me these days. Grrr.2. Austin pretty much shut down this morning because of ‘impending’ ice storm. I know ice is different that snow, but those of you up in chest-deep snow are driving to work and we shut down because there MAY BE ice. It’s still just 30 degrees and [...]

Ah, an old movie on AMC. I haven’t seen Papillon since my youth, but I remember the feel of it clearly. Well, no kids and I found it on. He never gave up. He never looked defeated. (Okay, once, but he got better. He was innocent and made the best out of [...]
